“Berlin,” Netflix’s eagerly awaited Money Heist spin-off, has just released an exciting new trailer, which has avid followers in a state of excitement. This trailer reveals the return of two key characters from the first series, promising a fascinating prequel narrative.
As Berlin is a prequel to Money Heist, it is set before the events of Money Heist. The spin-off concentrates on the character of Andres de Fonollosa, known as Berlin in the original Money Heist, and is played by the enigmatic Pedro Alonsa.
In the trailer, we see Berlin assembling a team of special people with the best skills to match the heist that is to be performed in the vibrant backdrop of Paris.
Unlike the previous trailer, where we saw a mixture of comedy and romance, the new trailer unveiled the two characters that we are already familiar with from the Money Heist star cast: Lisbon, AKA Raquel, played by Itziar Ituno, and Alicia Sierra, portrayed by Najwa Nimri.
We all remember how Money Heist centered around the professor’s master plans, where he led a team of skilled thieves who robbed the Royal Mint of Spain and the Bank of Spain. The series kept its audience captivated for all five of its seasons.
The police, who were in pursuit of the professor and his team, assigned Raquel the task of taking the professor down, but in the midst of all this, Raquel got involved with the professor and joined hands with his team. After Raquel switches sides, Alicia is brought in as her replacement to take down the professor, his team, and Raquel.
The original series revolved around the perspective and character of Tokyo, played by Ursula Corbero, and Berlin, who was the second in command to the professor in the Royal Mint Heist and subsequently the mastermind of the Bank of Spain Heist.
Money Heist became one of the most watched shows on Netflix ever, as it gained so much popularity as it was streamed. Let us hope Berlin will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor and become an even bigger hit in the future.
Fans of the show are eagerly waiting for the 29th of December, as it will premiere on Netflix.
